A Mission Summary

This past week our team gathered in Colorado Springs to begin devising a Mission Summary Document. During our time of sharing we discussed the Navigators calling: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost. The discussion what is the best way to carry this mission forward to the first responder community. In our deepest desire we want to develop conviction, character and competency in first responder laborers.

Conviction: What a laborer really believes

  • Convinced of the value of studying the Bible. (Mark 1:35)
  • Convinced of the value of true fellowship. (Heb. 10:24-25)
  • The Great Commission (Matt 28:17-20)
  • Personal Ministry (2 Tim 2:2)
  • The Basics for every Disciple. (Acts 2:42)
  • To enjoy simply being in the presence of the Savior. (Ps 27:4)

Character: Who a laborer is

  • Integrity (Pro. 11:3)
  • Holiness (I Pet. 1:14-16)
  • Grace (Eph. 4:32)
  • Servant’s heart. (John 13)
  • Love (John 15:12-13)
  • Humility (Phil. 2:5-8)
  • Generosity (2 Cor. 9:6-7)
  • Faithfulness (1 Cor. 4:2)
  • Kindness (Gal 5:22)
  • Love (John 13:34-35)

Competency: What a laborer does

  • Knowing how to personal study the Bible. (2 Tim2:2,15)
  • Knowing how to forgive (Eph. 4:32)
  • Knowing how to share your faith. (1 Pet 3:16)
  • Servant hood (John 13)
  • Dealing with temptation. ( Luke 4)
  • Managing time and money. (Luke 16)
  • Understanding the real needs of people (John 8)
